The register of profile data in the Jobportal.fi service

- The register stores information about:
- – Contact persons at employers who are looking for employees through the service
Job seekers who are looking for work through the service
Purpose of the processing of personal data
Personal data is processed in situations where a person logs into the Jobportal.fi service and creates a user profile either as a job seeker or as an employer. Personal data is also processed when a data subject creates job applications or job advertisements, or when a job seeker chooses to activate a job alert via the Jobportal.fi service. Once the job alert has been activated, the job seeker receives recommendations about job advertisements that may be suitable for him or her. For this purpose, the data controller stores the profile data that the data subject has saved in the service.
Data content of the register
The data content of the register consists of the information that the data subject adds to his or her personal job seeker profile, as well as the username and password for the Jobportal.fi service. The data subject can change the information he or she has provided in the service at any time.
- Data collected about registered job seekers:
- Basic identification details (name, email address, phone number)
Username and password
Technical user information from the system
LinkedIn profile (optional)
Portfolio (optional)
Presentation (optional)
- Company information provided by employers is also collected as part of the register's data content. Information collected about employers:
- Company name
Contact information for the company’s users of the Jobportal.fi service (name, email, phone number)
Company business ID
Company address (street address, city, postal code)
Username and password

Regular disclosures of data and recipients of data
When Jobportal processes personal data, personal data is sometimes shared with other parties. These other parties are data processors.
Data processors are companies that act under a binding legal agreement with Jobportal and that may only process data for the specific purposes permitted by Jobportal. They may only engage other third parties in the processing if Jobportal grants permission for this. A job seeker who is logged into the service sends job applications with associated information to the employers he or she has chosen via the service. A similar relationship then arises between the job seeker and the employer as the relationship that previously existed between the data controller and the data subject.Transfer of data outside the EU or Europe
We do not transfer any data in the register outside the EU or EEA.
Principles for protecting the register
It is important to us that the personal data you provide is secure. The data stored in the Jobportal.fi service is collected in the data controller's system, which is protected by the operating system's security software.
Access to the system requires a username and password. The data subject can only process their own personal data with their user details. The service is designed so that only employers who use the service and to whom the job seeker has sent their job application have access to the job seeker's data.
Storage and deletion of data in the personal register
Data about a person who has registered in the service is generally stored in the system for as long as the person is registered in the service. If the user is deleted, the data is then stored for another 2 years, for example for marketing purposes. If the user account has not been used for 2 years, the user account and profile data may be deleted from the system. The job applications that the job seeker sends to the employer via the Jobportal.fi service remain in the employer organisation's system according to the storage
